How nourishment, ritual, and neuroscience intersect in recovery and mental health.

Addiction is often discussed through the lenses of morality, psychology, or behavior. Less frequently examined is the biological terrain beneath addiction itself — the nervous system, the gut-brain connection, nutritional depletion, chronic stress, inflammation, and the body’s attempt to regulate itself under prolonged strain.
